Controls are impossible without triggers. Adding a frameskip makes it feel choppy to play but cures the sound difficulties. Drops below 30 in battle and shoots up to 40 after battle. (fs=Frameskip) All these games boot up and run to some extent.Ġ07 racing fps is up and down. Hopefully this will be helpful for users of the pocket go too. Find some games that work and map an essential trigger button to select or something like that. With some games it's whether you can tolerate its torture to play it. R1,L1,R2,L2 triggers is probably the biggest issue for PS1 on the bittboy. The fact it runs PS1 is pretty amazing to me to begin with.

Also, don't expect full ps1 emulation for a device so small and so cheap to buy. Some eboots I have won't work anyways because of protection so I won't list or try them.

I'm testing some psp eboots I made and a few bin files. Also, the more activity in the game the more likely the fps will drop. 3D games drop much more, like 10 to 30 and need at least 1 frameskip. In general, 2D games don't drop more than 5fps in gameplay and are playable without a frameskip. Bittboy is compatible with most ps1 games but is missing a few major titles like MGS. 1 frameskip is essential for almost every game in gameplay. Most games stuttered in intros, especially intros using gameplay graphics but FMVs seemed to work fine.
Please note: I tried to skip straight to gameplay immeadiately for all games.

It's a shame because this would not suffer much from no triggers, (only uses R1 to jump into the corners.) Does anybody know how to fix this game? Or any help with pcsx emulator? Also, I would put the game file in folders for each game, not all the game files in one folder to avoid crashing the console.Ĭrash Team Racing is the only game so far that doesn't seem to run for me in either format or region of the game. You could get away with some things by assigning an essential trigger button to select, depends on the game. I imagine a game like Metal Gear Solid will suck for this very reason as you can't cycle through the weapons and rations and Smackdown 1 or 2 because you can't execute your finisher without L1 and target indicating with L2, R2. With the games that require the trigger buttons R1 L1 R2 L2 you'll need to remap another key or do without the game for this device. I never used it before on PC, only epsxe. I think the bittboy uses the PCSX emulator which relies on plugins. Crash Bandicoot 1 definitely needs 1 frameskip. Most games require 1 frameskip to run fluidly and bigger games need 2 frameskip. I've been testing games and managed to run like 10 or 12 games so far in both. So now you may be able to run games that didn't work before or get better performance with more familiar bios files. You can add your own bios files in the EMU/PS1/BIOS section of the bittboy formatted sd card. Which is compatible with a lot of games but not all. New Bittboy v3 uses HLE bios selected as default.
